Microsoft Windows Vista On 256MB RAM and 10GB – 15GB HDD?

Hello,

I have recently come across a IBM Thinkapd 600X and I am refurbishing the laptop. I have added a 128MB (Megabytes) RAM (Memory) Module. I have also found a patch to run Vista on 256MB RAM and the patch is working. My hard drive partion is 3.5 GB (Gigabytes) and Vista requires 9.5 GB. Would I be able to run Vista on a 10GB – 15GB Hard Drive although the computer will not run at best performance.

Sloooooooooow is the word! I would check IBM,s website to make sure they have Vista drivers for that laptop before I would even think about installing Vista on it.

Seriously…I would not even bother. There is no way you will get any kind of use out of Vista with those specs.

yeah you will most likely encounter crashes as well. people who have a gig of ram and lots of gigs on there harddrive were having computers crash. you need at least 2 gigs specially if you want to do some surfing on the net or other stuff. i would suggest just going xp. it would probally run slow and you have no room to save nothing.
