I just want to know if there is anything i can do to fix it and i want to know what seems to be the problem. is it the backlight inverter or did my screen break? or if this is some sort of virus

Hp laptops has like the microphone sign just above the keyboard along with the sound, higher or lower. The problem is the button is stuck on red which means mute i press it but it stays red, it does work but the button does not change colour also the voice is muffled anyone know what to do
