why is my laptop screen (LCD)all white and nothing readable. could it be the video card?

    It is a very good possibility that the video card on the motherboard has gone bad, it also possible that the lcd inverter on your notebook has gone bad, but it sounds like the video card is the issue, i take it in to a pc tech to look at what they could do for repair if you want it repaired

    A good way to determine if it’s your LCD screen or not is to hook the laptop up to an external monitor. If the external monitor displays a white screen, then something is wrong internally…most likely the video card.

    If it is the screen, and you are not under warranty, try http://www.screentekinc.com .
